Saltés. Independent bookstore since 1972

Librería Saltés is one of the most emblematic bookstores in Huelva. For this new phase, we redesigned the original brand. Its former logomark resembled one of the three caravels, created from an open book. Building on the same idea, we balanced the weights between the typographic part (which simulates the hull of the ship) and the logomark, giving more prominence to the name while respecting the sails in the shape of a book from the previous logo. We included three lines that simulate text, which in turn form the letter “S,” derived from a typeface found on Isla Saltés, which may have been the capital of Tartessos.

That same year marked the 50th anniversary of the bookstore, so the 50th-anniversary logo was included on all printed materials: bookmarks, bags, vinyls, etc.
